Lines of acceptance

Spring 2024

This project came out of a series of conversations on the theme of (social) acceptance. I was not very close to some of these people, and I appreciate all of their contributions massively.

The first line was used as just an aid in the first conversation. It was only after that first conversation that I grew to appreciate this line as such a poignant symbol: something that represents a person's life experiences and the way they describe them, while leaving the person completely anonymous. This drove me to seek more conversations and more lines.
